Chauncey Hotel wedding
Alexis & Nick had a beautiful at their Chauncey Hotel wedding in Princeton, NJ. A frequent visitor of the Princeton area (especially the university for engagement sessions!), I was shocked to have never heard of this gorgeous venue before!
Sprawling over 100 acres in the middle of Princeton lies this historic homestead, plus a corporate park and hotel. I just LOVE old buildings – the architecture feels romantic and tells the story of a different time period. So needless to say I was excited to see A&N’s photos inside and outside the Laurie House! Because I was due with my first baby within days of Alexis & Nick’s wedding date, one of my fellow associates and friends, Amanda Dolly Photography, stepped in to shoot their wedding day. She did a FANTASTIC job! In the photography / events industry, you really never know when life is going to throw a curveball. Thank heavens for trustworthy creative pals! 🙂
Alexis & Nick’s colors of green and white emoted a classic, garden vibe. Emily’s MOH, her sister, rocked a patterned dress to stand out from the rest, which I LOVE to see! (More patterned bridesmaid dresses, please!!) Alexis’ gown was simple and stunning with vine pattern overlay, paired with her Hollywood curls and flawless make-up.
The weather ended up calling for rain in the latter half of the day, causing the staff to hold their ceremony under the tent as a precautionary move, but Amanda and team were able to get some stunning shots on the grounds first!
The previous year when I photographed their Engagement Session, their rescue pup, Oliver, tagged along and was such a good boy! I was so excited to hear he would be a part of their big day, too. View their Engagement Session in downtown Morristown!
