For Juliane and Mark, a spontaneous lunch among mutual friends was the winning meet-cute. The two were both students at Rutgers University and after having a rough day, Jules’ friends convinced her to go to lunch, originally meant to turn her day around but ending up changing her life forever.
After two years of getting to know each other as friends, the two officially started dating. Fast-forward six years, and Mark was ready to pop the question! On a family vacation in Rhode Island, Mark tried to get Juliane to go look at a sunset with him. “Mark was being weird all day and told me we needed to go to dinner together,” wrote Juliane, “After dinner he told me we should go look at a sunset but it had been raining all day so I didn’t understand why!” After some persistent convincing, Mark finally got her to a beautiful overlook where he got down on one knee. It was a proposal that perfectly captured their dynamic—a little bit of Mark’s determined spirit mixed with Juliane’s passionate nature!
Their wedding day at David’s Country Inn was sunny and beautiful. Jules and her talented mom made most of the floral arrangements! The couple kept it classic with black and white and touches of greenery. The highlight of the reception was a surprise projector video from Jules’ sister giving a Maid of Honor speech while on deployment in the military. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
