Bay Head, NJ

There is something so romantic about sunset photos. The warm, glowing cast it shines on a happily in love couple is my favorite effect of all time. Combined with the beach and summertime, it’s the ultimate trifecta for engagement photos – like these for Luke & Samantha taken in Bay Head, New Jersey!

THE PROPOSAL

These two beach lovers got engaged in Cape May, NJ, one of their favorite spots (as is mine!) to visit during the summer. Luke proposed on the beach right in front of the town’s iconic light house.

“Some of my favorite things about Luke are his compassion, drive, and protectiveness; he always puts his all into everything he does,” says Samantha when asked her favorite thing about her fiancé. “I love that we also have a lot of the same interests such as the beach, boat, animals, traveling, bike riding, and so much more; we always having something to do together. It is difficult to list my favorite things about him because there are just too many to list. I love him so much.”

As for Luke, “Her loving, caring personality sticks out the most. She is a hard worker and it shows with her drive to always work to the best of her ability. She is patient and takes care of me; even when I don’t ask her to. Samantha is well spoken and her social life is impressive. She’s the one for me.”

LUKE & SAMANTHA’S ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Samantha & Luke love the beach, boating and taking their beach cruisers down to the boardwalk. For their engagement session, it only made sense to go to one of their go-to’s, Bay Head beach, to capture the couple in their element! We started at the beach and headed into the romantic dunes, had some playful fun in the water, and popped champagne! As the sun started going down, the couple hopped onto their bicycles for some more playful shots before we headed across the road to Twilight Lake or some seriously scenic sunset memories.
