Kendall and RJ are ready to navigate life’s currents together! I was honored to capture their engagement photos; a session that perfectly blended their love of the sea – Kendall being an expert sailor and RJ an avid sport fisher – along with their chic style. Her choice of a Hill House dress was a subtle nod to classic fashion, while the breathtaking waterfront backdrop set the scene for their future adventures.

K&R met on Hinge (OK, starting to think 99.9% of my couples did – myself included! Hinge, if you’re listening…) in Manhattan where they live and work. They love going out to eat, traveling, listening to country music and spending time at home with their two cats.

I first met up with them at Strada Pizza Bar in the Highlands where after sharing a bite to eat, a round (or two!) of dirty martinis was ordered that were both refreshing for the hot summer evening and the perfect props on the outdoor marble cafe tables.

Afterwards, we headed to the marina where we were lucky enough to borrow one of the couple’s friends stunning sailboats for photos on the open sea. We took our time navigating all parts of the vessel to get the best, most romantic photographs of the two of them. And though the weather was a bit hazy that evening, we got a hint of an orange sky at the very end.

I am so excited to capture their wedding next spring at Navesink Country Club – I just know it will be as stylish as these two and their love!
