Media, PA

I am officially obsessed with Jocelyn & Pete’s romantic downtown engagement session in the Philly ‘burbs! I absolutely love Jocelyn’s dress and the sexy city bridal vibes the entire shoot took on. Pizza, a swingset and dancing in front of a vintage theatre, how cool can ya get?

We explored J&P’s town, Media, Pennsylvania. The two were looking for a formal-meets-casual vibe and blew it out of the park with their killer outfits and idea to grab pizza at a local pizzeria! We started their session outside the Delaware County Courthouse where we used the sleek, white architecture as our backdrop for some snazzy snaps and a champagne pop! We moved on to downtown’s streets, and Little Anthony’s Pizza Shop. After a quick outfit change into jeans and tees, the three of us went to another town icon, the Media Theatre, which gave me The Notebook vibes, before ending our time at the playground on the swings!

Their Proposal

“I went to a workout class Saturday morning and when I got home, Peter asked if I wanted to go on a walk around the neighborhood,” says Jocelyn. “When we got back to the house, Peter asked if I could wrap his mom’s birthday present while he was making breakfast. I started wrapping the gift and asked if Pete would turn on some music. Pete played “Paper Rings” by Taylor Swift, a song that I have always said would be our walk-out song at our wedding one day. When the song ended, Pete came into the living room where I was seated and asked me to stand up. When I stood up, he got down on one knee, he asked, I said Yes! Then, we Facetimed our families to share the news. After a nice breakfast, we got ready and Pete had planned a party with all of our closest friends at a bar down the street from our house.”

“She makes me feel like my best self,” says Pete when asked his favorite thing about his fiance. “She accepts me and supports me in every aspect of my life; from the important things like my family and work, to the not so important things like playing sports and games with my friends.”

As for Jocelyn, “He washes all of the dishes! In all seriousness… my favorite thing about Peter is that he balances me out. He is always able to make me smile when I am stressed. He is able to make me laugh when I am crying. And he is able to make me enjoy all the little things.”
