Backyard Tent Rainy Wedding Day
Bernardsville, NJ
Emily and Julian got married on a rainy spring day in May. The two said “I do” at Julian’s childhood home in Bernardsville, NJ. The atmosphere was just what Doctor Emily (who yes, is a doctor and just completed her degree not long before their nuptials!) ordered: backyard casual. With the help of planners Details Made Simple, there were beautiful pops of color in all the florals and table settings, which brought brightness and cheer to a wet day.
Rather than traditional catering, the couple opted for three fan-favorite food trucks and leaned into the outdoor garden vibe. Guests nommed on artisanal Neopolitan pizza from Nomad Pizza, empanadas from South American cuisine truck The Sandwicheria & classic burgers, fries and milkshakes from Shake Shack.
E&J’s ceremony was heartfelt and a real tear jerker. Their reception featured Emily calling her parents and three siblings to the dancefloor to quietly read a handwritten letter. The love was overflowing! Afterwards, the couple and guests heard seven speeches! It was exactly the type of non-conventional celebration the couple wanted, filled with talks of love and laughter, rather than a raging club. Sweet, romantic and unforgettable.
