City Winery Hudson Valley Wedding

Emily & Tim wed on a beautiful August day at City Winery Hudson Valley surrounded by loved ones from near and far. With a color palette of hot pink and tangerine orange, sweet wines from the vineyard, techno beats and a giant disco ball, it was nothing but the perfect day to celebrate E&T.

Last year I photographed Emily’s sister’s wedding – Cecilia & Kevin at The Inn at Fernbrook Farms. So when it was Emily’s turn to walk down the aisle, I was overjoyed when she reached out! They are the sweetest sisters and so much fun.

E&T’s rehearsal dinner and welcome party took place the night before at the nearby Venue at Winding Hills. It was a night filled with loving toasts and homemade cookies.I love capturing wedding weekends and they have become quite trendy lately. The more time I get to spend with my couples the better! It’s really such a short amount of time we get to spend together working in person anyway, and this just extends it!

Their Love Story

Over a decade ago, Emily & Tim met in a New York City nightclub. Tim’s famous pickup line was, “I like your bangs,” and you can say their relationship really started off with a bang!

The bright colors of their wedding encapsulated Emily’s bubbly personality and enthusiasm for life! Being that they met in a nightclub and love EDM music, it was only fitting tons of disco balls were included in the decor. The pair lovingly refers to one another as “babel” and the term was lit up in giant letters across the DJ booth. Other stunning personal elements of the decor included their welcome sign painted with watercolors by Emily’s mom.

Tim is a passionate vegan so many vegan dishes (that were both delicious and nutritious!) like veggie based “crab” cakes and tofu “steaks” were served at their wedding. I’m a picky eater but love vegetarian and vegan food so was ALL about these dishes.
