Love is in the air, and so are the beautiful spring cherry blossoms! I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Ally and Will’s engagement photos in the charming coastal town of Spring Lake, New Jersey. As New Jersey wedding photographers, we know this Jersey Shore location that boasts the popular Divine Park offers the perfect backdrop for romantic engagement sessions and couple portraits.

The thing about cherry blossom sessions is that you have to time it right. In New Jersey, cherry blossom season typically occurs from late March to late April. The peak bloom, when the trees are at their most beautiful, usually falls between the second and third weeks of April. Hit it too early and the blooms are white. Hit it too late and the blooms are already green. Typically I will monitor the trees around me and the locations I like to hit, as well as refer to past sessions’ dates to find the perfect timeframe.

Here’s a fun fact that will make you smile: Ally moonlights as a princess character for kid’s birthday parties! She even plans to surprise all the little ones attending their Winding Woods wedding by making a grand entrance in her enchanting costume at the end of the night. How magical is that?!
