Renault Winery Wedding
Alejandra & Johnathan’s wedding took place on beautiful Memorial Day Weekend. As someone who also wed at Renault Winery over MDW, it was so sentimental to be back!
The two wed at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church in nearby Absecon before traveling in style in a white 1956 Bentley to their reception space at Renault Winery Resort in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey – a European inspired Vivamee hospitality property.
Alejandra wore a stunning off-the-shoulder lace gown while her girls wore halter-style soft pink bridesmaid dresses. Their florals were a timeless white and blush mix curated by local florist, AW Flowers.
One of the (many) sweet moments of the day was when Johnathan switched out of his cool white suit jacket and bowtie for his service uniform to honor his time serving in the military. It was a special change to symbolize how big of a part of his life that was!
A highlight of the day was during cocktail hour when guests were serenaded with a live mariachi band. Renault Winery has three different wedding ballrooms: the Vineyard Ballroom (where I got married!), Champagne Ballroom and the Pavilion, a tented masterpiece. Once inside the reception, you could feel the amount of love and thoughtfulness that was put into each and every table’s setting. From the gorgeous light wood flooring (truly, it did NOT feel like we were inside a tent!) to the lush greenery trailing down the center of each table, it was a magical setting for guests to dine.
Congratulations Alejandra & Johnathan, and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your big day. Scroll down to see all of their beautiful wedding!
The Proposal
“The proposal was all planned out by Johnathan, and was very well thought out. He loves symbolism, so he planned a hike in the Grand Canyon. It was the longest hike that we did on our trip and took place on the South Kaibab Trail. It was seven hours long! He wanted to hike to a point where we would be able to overlook the Colorado River. To John, the challenging hike symbolized life and all the ups and downs we’d be facing together. Once we arrived at the end of the trail, we sat down to have lunch first. After, we hung around and soaked in the view of the river. While I sat on the edge of a rock enjoying the view, he kneeled down next to me and asked me to marry him. Honestly, I blacked out in shock so I could only gather a few words he was saying, but I do remember saying yes! Judging from the hike, we’ll be up for an amazing and rewarding journey together.”
Their Love
When asked what the newlyweds love most about each other, they replied:
“The random kisses and hugs are the best! Alejandra is pretty affectionate. Often, I don’t realize how much I need them, but on the days that I feel down, they are the best things, and they bring my spirits up!” says Johnathan.
“My favorite thing about John is how big his heart is! This really encompasses many things, but he is easy-going, generous, and very courteous which I admire so much about him.” says Alejandra.
