Windows on the Water Wedding

Cassidy & Steve’s elegant wedding at Sea Bright’s Windows on the Water with portraits at the iconic Sandy Hook National Park.

Their Love Story

Cassidy & Steve met freshman year at Saint Joseph’s University and this September will be nearly 10 years together! Their love for the outdoors has always been a central part of their relationship over the years. Running, hiking and biking are some of their favorite ways to spend time together. (We made sure to use a scenic outdoor location for their engagement session – check it out at Valley Forge National Park!). Plus, they both ran track and instantly bonded over their mutual love of the sport! Their favorite vacations have always included visiting National Parks. In May of 2022, they went for their usual walk when visiting Cassidy’s parents at Hartshorne Woods in the Atlantic Highlands and as they both walked out to the wooden pier on the Navesink River, Steve got down on one knee and proposed!

Their Wedding

After getting ready at her childhood home, we traveled to Saint Agnes Church in the Highlands for a meaningful mass where C & S said “I do.” Cassidy lit up the room in her ivory Caroline Castigliano dress, and Steve matched her shine in a dapper Men’s Wearhouse tux. Their In the Garden florals coincidentally matched the day’s weather with dusty blue & white flowers. Their bridal party wore dark cool tones that complemented the waterfront location. The bride’s father works at Sandy Hook National Park, so the couple wanted some portraits there as it had some meaning. We weren’t able to spend as long as we would’ve liked there, but the shots we got with the iconic lighthouse and abandoned military garrisons were well worth it! Plus, Windows on the Water provided a beautiful backdrop for indoor portraits that we otherwise might not have utilized. It just goes to show you – rain on your wedding day IS good luck.
