Bernardsville, NJ
One of my favorite settings for engagement and wedding photography is in the garden. For Yuri & Sam, choosing Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville was an easy decision.
THE PROPOSAL
Sam proposed to Yuri while the couple was vacationing in Antigua. It was so romantic – rose petals, candles, a private chef and footage all captured via drone and video! It was the perfect way to start off their engagement.
“I love how silly Yuri and I can get,” says Sam when asked his favorite thing about his fiance. “I love how much fun we have together even when we’re doing absolutely nothing. I love how Yuri and I can talk about nothing and everything whenever we want. I love how much Yuri makes me laugh and how much we have in common. I love how sweet and thoughtful Yuri is. I love how much I have and will continue to learn and grow from our relationship.”
As for Yuri, “I love how sweet, thoughtful, caring, loving and considerate Sam is. Ever since I met Sam, my life has never been the same – I have been the happiest I have ever been and I feel incredibly fulfilled. Sam and I are best friends at the core, and we have the most fun together and laugh the hardest, but also have the ability to get through the tough times together and grow as a couple. I truly believe Sam is my soul mate and I am ever so grateful to have met him through Hinge.”
SAM & YURI’S ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Not only is Cross Estate Gardens a historic site beautiful beyond compare, but filled with a variety of backdrops for photos. From the mansion to the stone water tower to the blooming garden, the three of us had so much fun exploring this gorgeous estate! The cutest thing ever was when we first rolled up and Sam surprised Yuri with a bouquet of white florals (*I’m crine*). We were able to incorporate this gift into several of my favorite photographs! I just love how giggly these two were with each other – I could tell right away how truly in love they were! Something I also loved was how the couple came dressed to impress in all white wear, which really made them as subjects stand out against the vibrant, colorful backgrounds.
Congratulations, S&Y and I cannot wait to capture your wedding next spring!
