Renault Winery wedding
In honor of our two year wedding anniversary coming up (!!), I thought hey, it’s probably time to blog those wedding photos. What kind of wedding photographer would I be if I didn’t post my own wedding photos?! At least I did the easy part right away – printed them and designed a wedding album! 😉
Looking back on this beautiful day brings back all the feels I had while planning it. We had recently visited Greece and were really inspired by the colors and vibes of the Mediterranean. I fell in love with the bougainvillea flowers, but unfortunately due to New Jersey’s climate, they won’t grow here. My amazing florist, Debbie, was able to concoct something that looked like it using similar blooms and I have to say to this day I am still obsessed with my hot pink bouquet!
My favorite part of planning was designing all of our stationery and signs. I sketched out a crest and the building at Renault and painted them with watercolors. My mom helped me stencil the blue paint onto the tiles and my whole family helped me load up the olive oil favors!
I visited four different dress stores before finding “the one.” I actually found it at a very high-end store that wanted a lot of moola for it so originally turned it down. I got lucky – the next store I visited had the same dress but with a little different bodice. The owner of the store contacted the designer(!) and he was able to swap in the bodice I liked. A custom gown, whodda thought I’d end up feeling like a contestant on Say Yes to the Dress.
Our family and friends had so much fun rocking the night away with The Cliffs, whom Tyler and I discovered playing out in Red Bank and who I now have seen at some of my own weddings I photograph! I think everyone’s jaw dropped when their one guitarist played “Eruption” by Van Halen.
I hope you enjoy looking at this wedding photographer’s wedding photographs! It truly was the best day of my life marrying my best friend. A lot has happened in these past two years – from rescuing our dog, Felix, to having our first baby! Who knows what’s in store for year three!
